My aluminum ring broke in two pieces. I'm looking for some help to find the part number or link to a replacement ring with seal that you screw the low beam headlight into. I searched the forum but couldn't find a relevant post, sorry if one exists.

The aluminum ring can be seen below.

Interesting, my 2011 has a plastic mounting surface.

Looks like the socket is Toyota 9006981008. The orange rubber ring comes with the H11 bulb.

Repairing the ring by grinding the broken surfaces and using epoxy to join the ring might be possible.
Fast set, 2-part epoxy adhesives are available. I had success using the product when my rearview mirror mounting tab fell off our windshield.

The epoxy can easily withstand whatever heat the bulb mount will be exposed to.

Hate to bump this, but did this part 9006981008 work for you?

    My retainer looks like this

I was hoping I could buy this part rather then a whole new headlight assembly?

Neggen, I have the same exact problem. How did you end up fixing it? I cannot find the plastic locking disc anywhere.

I believe the aluminum disc is for hi-beams.

Can any one confirm that part 9006981008 is just the dust cover (no disc)?

    ***UPDATE***

The locking cap of the assembly (shown in this picture) is part of the rear portion of the low beam reflective housing. There isn't a replacement part for the cap. The assembly would have to be replaced. Lucky for me the locking cap. Lucky for me the cap isn't too bad. Bulb seems to be safely locked in place.
