    I have a 2013 Prius.
I want to have my headlights turn on when the engine starts and off when the engine turns off.

    Can it be done?

    Regards Al

Don't know about the '13, but on the '10, just turn headlight switch on and lights come on when car ready and go off 30 seconds after turn off and open door. On time after exiting the car can be changed by dealer or with OBD II bluetooth and phone app.

His '13 should be the same as my '12, so yes, it can be done. I selected 'No delay' for the dealer-set customizations at delivery. (Default was 30 seconds, other choices were 60 and 90 seconds.) My previous '10 was delivered without a customization questionnaire sheet.

I seem to remember more ways to change default settings on this '12 than on the '10, but a quick scan of the manual didn't spot it. While I could have used the same OBDII port and ScanGauge code method to customize settings on the '12 as on the '10, merely checking boxes on a dealer sheet was so much easier.

Once this parameter is set as desired, merely leave the headlight switch turned on forever, and the car will take care of it. But personally, I prefer to use the DRL position during daylight.

al You claim to have a 2005 in your profile, you claim to have a 2013 in your post and you posted this in a Prius C forum.

So none of the advice you got can be trusted, as they HAD to guess which car you have.
