Headlights Question

The lack of the auto headlight feature got me back to the dealer the day after purchase. Of course the salesman was sure the Prius had it. He started reading the Prius brochure to find it listed. It was not mentioned. Next we went to the service dept. The service manager thought it had them and looked at the dash. No sensor. I asked if it could be added. No, it's a factory added accessory. Turns out it is standard in Canada, not available in the US.

What I'd like to learn is what additional parts are on the Canadian model and how much do they cost. I might what to add it myself.

I'm with Tom that a vehicle this sophisticated should at least have a feature that's as common as a steering wheel on lesser cars.
