Hey Fellow Prius owners. I just purchased a 2004 Prius today and the heat and the defrost are both not working which is extremely un-safe as I live in New England. Inquiry regarding if anyone knows of this issue or any tips or ideas? Thank You

Check the coolant level in the radiator by removing the radiator cap while cold, heat is often the first thing you loose with low coolant levels.

It's worth checking for any diagnostic codes from the heater. Hold down the steering wheel AUTO and RECIRC buttons together, while turning the car ON (two power button pushes, foot off brake). Wait for a beep and the MFD to switch to the climate screen. Post any two-digit codes you read from top corner of the display.
