Well I think I am mostly done with modding my new Prius, so I thought I should display it to all those that helped with advice and inspiration. Thank you all kindly.

    Reflectors on the doors:
These were the suggestion of Hobbit. The red and white reflective tape is on the normally hidden surfaces, and with just the flash from the camera it looks even brighter than the upgraded LED door courtesy lights.

Replacing tail lights with (red) LEDs:
The red LED is on the left, and the original incandescent on the right. (ignore the halfway completed red tint on the brake lights)

Debadging & Red tint on the brake lights:
I removed the 'Toyota' and the 'HSD' badges which I think gives a cleaner look. These (plus the 'Prius') are the only badges I could remove without leaving holes.

It is my opinion that red tinting on the brakes lights will help following drivers know where to expect red brakes lights. I also think it looks better.

    Blackened the remaining badges:

    Grill blocking:
Grill blocking on the upper section (lower section was also done to 80%)

Highlighting of raised lettering on liquid reservoirs:
I just used a Sharpie to make these a bit more visible.

    Dragon decal:
I used some of the leftover red tinting material to make this dragon, to show off her personality.

    MFD shade:
I used the dealer front license plate advertising to construct a shade for the MFD. After cutting to shape, I coated it with some of the plasti-dip from blackening the badges.

The rest of the mods are: removing wheel rims, upgrading all interior lights, with LEDs. Turning off the reverse beeping. I might still upgrade the license plate lights to LEDs, and blacken the chrome 'smile' on the front grill.

I agree. The dragon sticker may be a bit overboard but it makes your car unique to you.

I really like the idea of highlighting the min max levels on the reservoirs!

    Well done.

We seem to have similar tastes in Prius personalization. I've done
many of the same things to mine.

As to the MFD sun screen, it can be easily and inexpensively upgraded.
For less than $5 you can get a ~10"x12" piece if 1/16" thick leather
from the nat'l chain craft stores; Michaels, etc.

It can be applied with spray-on adhesive cement. It easily wraps
around the tight radii at the edges for a truly professional look

For an over-the-top "luxury" feel, you can also get a same sized sheet
of 2mm high density foam rubber for even less. Apply it only to the
upper surface with no wrap-around at the edges. Sandwiched between
the screen and the leather wrap it gives a slightly cushioned feel.

Laugh. So tell me, is that a goat skull on the front of your car? :)

The dragon is a bit funny, as doesn't seem to me like something I would do for myself. It just seemed to to fit for Heather.

Ah, that's what it's called. My wife and I say "mucus" when playing spot-the-hybrid.

(We do like the color, but I actually didn't know the official name).

I just have a grille block. I do keep meaning to do something about the MFD reflection on the windshield though.

Very good point! Although the skull was temporary and just for the photo shoot. It's like a model wearing skimpy clothing for a shoot then she changes into something else. Err umm, where am I going with this?

I'll attempt to rescue F8L here and say that I really like those extra reflective strips. It's a very easy 'mod' that's quite effective. And you made that dragon yourself? Wow. :)

I like that lumbar thing. I just don't like how it looks. It's like wearing headgear or something. It's embarrassing to be seen using, but it's worth it.

    I bet you do. ;)

I used to like putting them up on top of the truck for a photo. :)

Is the red tint on the brake lights a vinyl or paint? You did a good job on it.

I like what you did on the tails too Heather. My wife has the same color. I debadged the rear as well, tinted all around with windshield visor, made my own mfd visor, rear sway, and chassis brace. I think next up will be a front sway or change tires from 185 to 195.

    Vinyl. Same as the dragon.

    Thanks.

It is Polyethylene pipe insulation, 1/2" if I recall correctly. The upper grill is filled by 1/2 sections (i.e. 180 degrees). folded. The lower with full circle pieces. All were sliced to get around the vertical braces in the area.
