    Welcome!
    Since there is a large US audience here, you might want to change your Location to Republic of Georgia. Otherwise many people could assume you are in the US state of Georgia.

    That area is where the fog lights are located. The less expensive trim levels have blank plates in those areas.

    That description fits the U.S.-2010-2011 models.

    For the U.S.-market 2012-2015 models, that is where the turn signal (upper portion) and DRL (daytime running light, lower portion) are located, as a single unit. Other national markets without the LED version of DRL are different.

    It is a Gen III, mid-generation update or second version (2012-2015).

    The original Gen III version was for model years 2010-2011, and has different turn signals.

    Yes, without a turn signal the vehicle will run and drive fine, but probably not legally. At least not legally here in the US.
