Help convince my mommy to buy a Gen III over Gen II

    but frontal area is greater. Product of those is very close, but genII slightly better.
    04-09 Prius CdA = 5.83
    10 Prius CdA = 5.84

    btw, 3rd gen does EV much better than 2nd gen without using EV button, I'll explain...

    I drove the car about 8 miles after cold start, went in store, fired it back up and it went EV across the parking lot, onto the short street going slow to the light, all on battery.

    For a fact, under same conditions, my 2nd gen 2009's ICE would have fired up in the parking lot.

    3rd gen > 2nd gen. That's the way it is.

    and the freakin' driver's seat is a couch .. in a good way. And the 3rd engine is far quieter than the 2nd gen.

    and the bridge console makes a nice place to rest knee while cruise control on. No problems with floating bridge.

    I agree. It's better programmed and knows not to fire up the engine yet because you may be cruising around the lot towards the exit. This was the reason why I got Coastal's EV for the Gen 2... so that it wouldn't fire up until I got to the main street.
