Just took a friend and her little boy to the doctors. He had a poop accident in the car and now I have a small stain in the seat. :(

I have tried to clean the arm rest console in the past, but it left staining. I am wondering if you all could recommend something for this stain that might not make it so obvious.

    Thanks.

I'd suggest vinegar and baking soda, with the help of an old toothbrush. Make sure you dry the area very well - you don't want it to mould.

Wet/Dry vac. Carpet cleaner solution at correct dilution. Spray bottle. Rinse water. Small brush if it resists.

Apply solution to the stain. Vac out the poo. Repeat as required. Brush in the solution if it needs it. Rinse well.

Macmaster: Couldn't you comprehend the title? No need to even open it or comment if it bothers you so much.

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. They are appreciated.

You're welcome, Joanne. Let us know what works and what doesn't.

btw, I don't think mac was necessarily being unfriendly towards you in particular. I took his cryptic message to mean that he was cheekily suggesting you unfriend the little pooper's parents. People without kids aren't quite as forgiving with this sort of thing. ;)

    This stuff is awesome: http://www.amazon.com/KIDS-PETS-Brand-Remover-ounces/dp/B000PY14GK

We use it when our dog gets sick (he chooses the cream colored carpet, of course) and it is incredible. I haven't tried it in the car, but it might be worth a shot. I got it at Walmart.

Well this thread is not as bad as "Dinosaur Farts" in the Enviro section.
Google of poop stains reveals Oxi Clean spray does well as well as Shout spray. However, one would think Shout spray may not be ideal for car use.

I would use Folex and then use an extractor and steamer to remove the liquids and smell.
You can buy it at Home Depot or Bed, Bath and Beyond
