Help! Master Warning Light - what to do?

    Glad to hear that you've narrowed the problem down. More likely the problem is with the level sensor mounted at the beam rear axle. This sensor allows the headlight ECU to adjust the headlight beams appropriately as weight is added to the rear of the car.

    Frequently the sensor will rust and get stuck.

    Hi RD, I don't have that option on my prius so I don't know for sure, but I've read several posts here where people just clean up that part to get it working. Rusty and get stuck as Patrick says.

    Yes, I pulled it and disassembled. This one is toast. Completely rusted solid. No fixing it. To add to it, a tooth is busted off in the corroded harness plug.
    That will need to be spliced in as well.

    got a new/used one from a Cali car, took it aprta it looked like new.
    Installed and all is good. No more RED triangle.
