I just bought a Garmin GVN-52 navigation system for my 2006 pkg. 3 and am trying to install it. Keydiver has described the process in this thread, but I am in need of help regarding the circuitry required to hook the mute and audio lines up via the external audio jack wiring. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to contact Keydiver, so I'm hoping some other electronically inclined individual might be able to help.

Keydiver states in his post that he used a 12V 60ma DPDT relay, a 2N5195 transistor, and "a couple resistors." The transistor is specified, so my questions are:

    1) Would this relay from Radio Shack be appropriate?

    2) What size/type/rating resistors would I need, and how many?

    3) How (e.g. simple schematic) are these things wired together?

Thanks a lot for any help you can provide!

Anyone??? I don't think specific knowledge of the GVN-52 is needed here, just a basic understanding of circuit design (which I, unfortunately, lack!)

    Please help!
