If you do get another battery, Green Bean is decently priced around 1600 and for another 50 you can get a lifetime warranty, and there's a chance they can have someone come to your car and do the work in time for your trip Sunday.

Hmm I will have to check them out, do you know what the failure rate is for them?

not sure but I've had mine for 14 months so far without any issues. and for 50 bucks for a lifetime warranty there's really no risk.

We could use some data (Dr Prius, Torque, etc) - yes, a cell in a block could be going bad. Or there could be a connection problem. Or there could be a voltage sense wire / connection / ecu pin problem.

I was referring to HV battery voltage data. Particularly the freeze frame data for the P2023. Also some captures of live HV battery block voltages while driving the car hard (accel and decel).

We want to see what values are that the ecu doesn't like. If block 13 is 1.0-1.5V lower than the others while discharging, that usually points to a failed cell in one of the sealed battery modules in that block.

To be honest the four miles I drove it was the last time the car has been driven. I don't think I have the ability to capture the measurements you are speaking of with Blue Driver.

Well, if blue driver can't do it, you can look at the app review sticky thread at the top of the Technical discussion thread.

Green Bean rectified the problem for me on Sunday, less than a half an hour and my Prius was back to “new”. I want to thank you all for your help. Mr-guy-Mann I looked at the thread you recommended and I found some interesting information there. I will have to try to narrow down a new reader.

I’m assuming they kept your NPB modules? did they ask about the cylindrical cells or give you any issues?

I have heard nothing from them as of right now. I will update if they do contact me.
