Hello,

Has anyone successfully transfer contacts on Verizon Samsung Galaxy Fascinate to PriusIII non-nav bluetooth phonebook?

I can pair up the phone and make calls. But I just can't transfer the phone contacts to Prius phonebook.

Any special trick I need to do? Prius seems to be in the infinite transfer mode and then fails.

Thanks for your help.

Sigh, I am replying to my own posting.

I gave up to the bluetooth in my new Prius. Just cannot transfer phonebook from Samsung Galaxy Verizon to Prius. Failed almost hundreds of trials. It really sucks. May be I should give up the phone since I heard it's Verizon/Samsung issues.

Feels good that I resolved the problem myself. Shared here for others who may also struggle.
Please let me know anyone has figured out transfer Verizon Samsung Galaxy Fascinate phonebook multiple contacts to Prius III 2011 Non-Nav bluetooth system. Thanks,

Goal: Transfer Verizon Samsung Galaxy (Fascinate) Phonebook to 2011 Prius III (No-Nav)

Steps:
- Assume phone is already paired/connected with Prius Bluetooth.
- Perform latest phone system upgrade (to Android 2.2.1)
- Download “Bluetooth File Transfer” apps from Market “Medivel Software”.
- Select single contact from phone “Contact” and then “Send via Bluetooth”.
o don’t press “CAR M_MEDIA” yet.
o This is just a ready standby position
- Start Prius III “Phonebook”->”Add Entry”->”By Phone”->”Confirm”
- Press and select “CAR M_MEDIA” on the phone when Prius says “Searching”.
- Phone single contact can be successfully transferred now.
o Prius III also allows to select one phone# if the contacts has multiple phone #s.
o Just speak “Next” or “Previous” to Prius.
- Still have not figured out how to transfer multiple contacts.

Result: This really works

sorry about the troubles you are having. my Prius with NAV transfered all contacts from several different phones, LG Env Touch, Moto X, Palm Centro, BB storm. all worked fine.

kinda weird since the Moto X is essentially the same software

Nav and non-Nav have completely different bluetooth implementations.
