Does anyone know a good mechanic in Connecticut, Hartford area? My Prius is making a buzz sound when open door and will not tune off. I need a Toyota scanner. Regular scanner picks up no codes. Brakes are stiff on a 2007 Prius.

It may be the brake booster. Normally they run for a few seconds when you first get into the car. Many auto supplies will have code readers. The brake boosters are expensive from the dealer. If you need one have the shop find a good used or remanufactured unit. Try the Mechanics Files for a good shop. I would ask via phone if they work on 2007 Prius. It would be better for the future problems. Pic is the the first few of 38.

you are in the wrong forum, report your post and ask a mod to move it.

how many miles on your car? could be a bad booster, but check the 12v first. a low 12v will cause the buzzing sound to prolong.
