Probably a 1.5 litre if it's the same system as our Prius c.

Yes, apparently the Yaris isn't available as hybrid in a lot of countries. The Yaris hybrid uses the same powertrain as the second generation Prius so I guess it's baiscally the same as the Prius c. It also has similar dimensions.
And yes, conventional dash. There's also a Toyota Auris which is a bit larger with the 3rd gen Prius drivetrain, also with conventional dash. The Auris hybrid TS (stationwagon) is quite popular because it offers more interior space than the Prius III or IV.

Guys I noticed something....While engine is on I tried removing the oil cap....Once I unscrewed alot of air is coming out from there to the point I could not screw it back , engine changes noise too when pulling oil dip stick in and out .

PVC valve stuck ??? Can I drive with dip stick out in the meantime to release pressure?

I'm not sure how much pressure there should be, but at 190K miles changing the PCV valve wouldn't hurt. NutzAboutBolts has a video on getting to it, pinned in third gen maintenance section.

What is happening to engine sound when you loosen oil fill cap? Seems to be smoothing out, sounds better?

I've a strong hunch you have some Scottish blood, lol? I would spring for a new pcv valve with that mileage, but that could my mom's (dutch) side coming out. Some of my dad's ancestors were from the Shetlands, hence the name. :)

My son and I did the pcv valve replacement on his Civic. It was tougher than the Prius I think: Shop Manual instruction was to first remove the intake manifold. I invested in a $40 ratcheting box wrench with extended reach, and was able to avoid this. It was impossible to put a regular ratcheting wrench on the valve, too bulky.

Yes it smooth down .....I have unscrewed the cap and pulled out the stick half way in the meantime, I hope the pcv is the reason of the rough engine behaviour

I'd advise to take a short test drive with your venting solution, see if it's spraying much. I accidentally left oil fill cap off once (on another car) and it was a bit of a mess. Also: the fumes were getting sucked into the cabin a bit I think.

Quick update.... The engine is running smoother and the mpgs that have been down constantly between 39 and 43 for the past couple of weeks now is instantly up to 55mpgs
,...Just keeping fingers crossed that is just the pcv . Got to drive for work till tomorrow evening so I will keep an eye on the cap

That's pretty knackered! You're just reusing then? Did you check the price for a new one? With our Honda it was around $25 (Can $). It was such a production getting to it, and considering it's a one time thing.

That said, assuming you've soaked/cleaned the interior the same as the outside, probably good as new.

You're running circles around me, financially. When my son and I did the pcv valve on his civic, it was $25 for the valve, and $40+ for the swivelling/ratcheting/extra-long box wrench, to be able to extract the valve without taking off the intake manifold, lol.

How was it checking prior to install? If it was not checking well, the problem will persist.

There does appear to be a bit of oil passing through. Have you tried anything to help like high mileage oil, engine treatments, etc?

The throttle body bolts to the intake manifold, correct? Just curious, do you remove intake manifold with throttle body still attached?

And there are coolant hoses on the throttle body?? Just leave them connected?
