hi everyone, new here pls help (Transaxle replacement)

    Hi i'm tony from Australia, just purchased a prius 05 with 142k miles dead not going, after about a week of tests and research I have concluded the transaxle is stuffed. Does anyone know if I could replace the transaxle with an 06 07 08 09 trans? I read a procedure to remove the transaxle without removing the ice but the 06 trans is slightly different.
