Hi; Is there any reason to save my almost-dead 12-volt Panasonic battery?

    They are supposed to be really good batteries. Mine only lasted about 4 yrs - maybe bc didn't drive enough during pandemic. Just about to replace. Dlr gives $20 off if you bring old one back Is there any point to hanging on to old one? Thx

    Yes. Take it back and get your $20. Most states in the USA require retailers to charge a CORE charge. Because if they did not a lot of thse batteries would end up in landfills. Most states do not have a set CORE refund, but it seems to hover around $20 to $35.

    dealer will give you $20 even if you don't buy the battery there? that's decent, better than most auto parts stores
