finally installed my HID fogs, 6000k morimotos with a separate on/off switch so I can have fogs only if I want, and the factory on/off switch still works too, turned out great! While I had the bumper off, I installed a carbon fiber backround for the front and rear emblems, as the blue doesnt look good with Habanero, and I also spray painted black all of the area behind the grill for a better blacked out look on the front bumper, coming soon: side debadge, and back up camera

    the emblem looks awesome!! :)

Im not a huge fan of the blue, my dealer told me its blue so firemen/paramedics know its a hybrid and they have to disconnect certain wires etc first if they ever need to cut me out of the car lol

update: the HID lights produce lots of heat, the housings and front lens get really hot, so I drilled 2 holes on each side of the housings, hardly noticeable, for extra venting

I dont think so because the fog housings are behind the bumper, I washed my car after drilling the holes, and no water got in

do you think getting 35w would have lowered the heat in the housing?

How did you install the seperate switch for the fogs? Is there a write up for this any where? Also, do the HID's in the fog scatter the light everywhere? Or are they aimed to light up the road only? I was thinking about putting HID's in my fogs but was worried about light being scattered everywhere. I don't want to blind on coming traffic.

I would think so, but I use my 55w all the time, and have had no issues with heat since I drilled the holes in the housings

the light does not scatter, its the same light pattern that you get from the regular fogs, just the color changes, and more clarity with the HID, as for the separate switch, I just tapped into the power wire, ran it to the switch, then ran another wire from a fuse that is on all the time, that way the fogs will work off my separate switch, and also the factory switch
