HID Lights Aiming Upwards?

    So I just installed a pair of D4R 6000K Xenon HID lights on my 2007 prius and now they're aiming directly upwards. They don't even touch the road. I tried manually adjusting them with the aiming screws to no avail.

    What could be the problem here? Has anyone ever experienced this? Should I take it to a shop?

    Did you install hid bulbs into halogen housings or did you do a proper projector retrofit? If former, go back to halogens, you will be blinding the oncoming traffic and being “that guy”. If latter, then double check your installation. Properly done hid projector upgrade works very well. Housing do need to be re-aimed. But it’s very much within the range of the system.
