What do you mean by fuse tap? Is it a neat way to connect to the fuse wire?

Yes, it is the best way to get power from a fuse location in the fuse box. Additionally, the circuit you are adding is also fuse protected:

I really hate resurrecting such an old thread, but I really want to do to this mod and can't find a quality solid-state DRL anywhere. Is there any quality alternative to the Hamser DRL module? The DRL sets they sell on ebay all seem to be focused on low-power LED lights and not regular 9005/9006 bulbs. Thanks in advance for any help or direction.

I think that reviving an old thread, with a good descriptive title, is more beneficial than opening a new one.

(Thanks for using the search function)!

I tried to open the fuse box and replace the relay with the green one Toyota uses but eventually gave up.

Hopefully xliderider comes along to update. He's an excellent contributor on this forum who've I've actually met in person.

    moto g(7) power ?

Hey, thanks for the shout out jzchen. :)

Unfortunately, I don't know where solid state highbeam modules can be sourced anymore.

If I had to do it now, I'd probably use a module from webelectric to run the turn signals as DRLs.

Link is here: WebElectric Products - Pulsing Brake Light Pulser Flasher Pulsar

Several installs done on 2nd Gen Prius, and a Prius v wagon as well. All had good things to say about the product.
