Highest mileage turd gen Prius motor

    If this has been talked about already sorry. If not looking for mileage on 3rd gen Prius engine . I am trying to collect some data on these 1.8 motors and at what mileage the avg gives in and has to be rebuilt

    I had 200k miles on our 2010 when I sold it:).

    Never had to rebuild the engine;).

    There’s one data point(y).

    I was at 213k when my head gasket blew and grenaded the engine.

    Currently at 191k. Head gasket failed at 185k and was repaired. No oil consumption.

    In general, the motors are bulletproof, I would be more concerned with the EGR plumbing on the engine.

    And PCV: clean the intake a get an effective Oil Catch Can installed.
