    Well, we have a $500 deductible on our coveage. Plus I was reading online last night that the insurance company might feel that I should have avoided hitting something in the road and find me at fault. Then I could be given a surcharge dependng on the amount of the damage.

    Yes, especially given the deductible, it does not pay to trouble the insurance company over such a small claim.

    My car is fixed. Atlantic Toyota of Lynn, MA gave me a very fair price for the repairs.
