    My experience differed but I picked up a hint from one of the other homelink threads and that did it. We have a 2012 Prius v (lowercase v for the Prius v wagon) and a Chamberlain Liftmaster opener. Nothing worked. I went to the liftmaster site and that did not work. One of the other comments here did work.

    1. Hold the remote opener near the car's homelink buttons, press button on the remote and the one of the homelink buttons, but HOLD them for 30 seconds or more; mine took about a minute before the homelink light settled down.
    2. Then press the button on the Chamberlain unit and then press the chosen homelink button and hold two seconds, repeat once or twiice as needed. Mine worked on the first two second hold.
    Anther hint I did not need was to install a new battery in the remote.
