    Thrift.
Just using what you have, and need.
    USUALLY...
    I'm all for those things.
    But in this case?
Well, the technology does change, and your dealing with electronic equipment that is 16+ years old. I think in this case, I'd take it as a signal to upgrade. You could hunt around for matching equipment or adapters, etc, etc, but IMO, not really worth it.

I have two televisions....a large screen...which is newer, and a similar ancient 19 inch screen ( oddly I use more ).. that I can't use with anything "new" because it is ancient technology now.
For now? I don't need to hook anything up to it, that doesn't hook up. But as soon as I reach that point, with either the TV itself or the also ancient equipment I have? I'll just upgrade.

Too bad, on Black Friday there were a LOT of deals on this televisions and Blu-Ray Players, and streaming devices.
I kind of regret I didn't buy myself a present on Black Friday, because I'm very nearly in the same position with my small TV.

    Everyone

As usual, thanks for the replies. apologize for my late return to this. I was severely injured the day I posted this and have been in hospitals and rehab centers since (more than a month).

Good news is I may get out in another month to continue recovery at home. And, I may be good as ever, but it will be a long and possibly painful recovery (doctors saying by Christmas 2019).

As you can imagine, the video "upgrade" is on hold.

Thanks for the good wishes. Did a long series of exercises this morning and pain level was amazingly tolerable compared to seven days ago, so either I am tougher now or I am continuing to improve.

And have had no narcotics since Tuesday!!!:):):)
