Hook up OEm backup camera to OEM head unit

    Hi guys ! I just got a 2013 Prius Two and I want to replace the 6.1” non nav head unit and add an OEM camera, both from Pioneer. But I’m confused about the reverse trigger. Can I hookup the reverse trigger wire (purple/white) from the Pioneer head unit harness to the backup light bulb socket ? How can I take the reverse signal to turn on the camera and switch the head unit screen to camera view when I shift reverse ?

    I hooked up a camera in my 2014 non nav Prius two. I kept the stock head unit and I think it gets the reverse trigger from the back up lights.
