    8) I have asked the parts department for Omaha Performance Toyota to see if they could locate this cargo net. He has call all over the place and it appears that it was something done by the advertising people.

He has call the factory and they do not have it as well.

    His website (Southern CA) is

which then goes to his store.

GREAT Find. I've already ordered one and put in my comments that he NEEDS to become a PriusChat Sponsor and/or enter into a deal with Danny (Danny, are you listening). I think this could be one of the handiest products yet...the cool thing is that you should be able to use it WITH the regular Cargo net for the Prius for double utility. I think the price is fair too...about $31 with shipping. If he could get a deal with Danny to sell these to PC members for $19.95 or $21.95 with some $$ going to the site this guy could make a killing here I think.
    $24.95.

    Found: Horizontal Cargo Net

Great way to use it is to leave it attached to the 2 rings near the back seat and pull it to cover things as needed. So if you do not need it, it is out of the way- works well!

Yes there is (at least in the EU). You can also use the Hyundai Santa Fe net,and no doubt a lot of others. Just goto a car spares shop and look for one.

[font=Comic Sans MS:6af4252358]I saw this same horizontal cargo net in a post on a yahoo group. http://store.davidhonl.com/index.html I ordered it and it came yesterday, fast delivery! It looks great and it's made for the Prius. It has "custom fit for the Toyota Prius" sewn into the side of the net. I followed the suggestion in this thread of connecting the hooks to the back D rings and storing it back there. I went grocery shopping last night and pulled it over the bags from the back rings and hooked it onto the front ones.
This is a great cargo net!

The Prius manual goes into a lot of detail about a horizontal net that comes with the car. It is intended to hold a (temporarily loose) spare tire down, but would do the job discussed here. It is stored in one of the compartments in back.

Those are tie down straps...they go the same place the cargo net does but they're just a pair of web straps and not nearly as useful for every day use.

Got mine too. The clips are plastic (would prefer metal), but look heavy duty and durable. Otherwise very nice product.
