How can I set windshield wiper height after replacing wiper motor?

My wiper motor stopped working and I replaced it with a motor I bought online, as it was much cheaper than bringing it to the shop. I checked multiple sites to make sure I bought the correct motor, but after installing the motor the wipers sit a bit higher than they are supposed to on the windshield. The wipers rest probably about eight inches higher than where they are supposed to. Additionally, the range of motion of the wipers is different since the wipers move down and then up when I turn it on. Is there a way to recalibrate my wipers?
