How dark should I get my windows tinted? socal

    What % tint should I get? I want it to be legal, don't want to deal with getting pulled over. I'm in socal

    How much should I look to spending?

    If you know a good place to get tints in so cal let me know.

    You can go as dark as you like, just don't tint the front Windows. That's where it becomes illegal

    Okay. I thought you can only get 70% tint on two front windows in cali?

    When I got a violation for tint, the police officer said to me that NO TINT WHATSOEVER was allowed on the forward windows. Of course you can find any number of people who will disagree with this police officer -- including me.

    Here's the actual CA law:
    V C Section 26708 Material Obstructing or Reducing Driver x2019 s View

    You can find the relevant text in section (a) (14)(C)(c)(4)(d).

    My interpretation there is that the officer that cited me was wrong. But I've never heard of an argument with a police officer on the side of the road ever turning out well.

    It really depends on the interior color, on light interiors you can go dark on the back and light on the front, and you should be okay. If you have a dark interior you can do medium all around or light all around to be very safe. I have always done med all around and have never been pulled over.

    Do all the windows. Rear windows "limo tint" front Windows light tint and you'll be fine.
    We've had ours for years and never been pulled over.
    It's a prius not a Mustang or camaro
    Cops don't look at us.
    If you get pulled over for speeding or running a light then the cop could add it on. Just mind your p's and q's

    Mine cost 140.00 still look great after 4 years . San Bernardino shop. Look around get estimates and go for it.
