let me go back & look, the are not the only ones, make sure when you buy ANY mini-vci or what ever that it has the soft ware to make it work EVERYBODY seem to not to mention that it won't work with out passwords, keys, etc.... I could really care less about toyota's coke hold on there licenses for this! I just want to read my codes.
In the meantime, if you just want to read codes start with - Elm 327 Bluetooth OBDII device - Torque Pro android app. Cost ya' less than $30 total for both. Maybe another $20 if you need to buy a used android phone/tablet. Don't have to deal with any pirated/cracked versions of stuff This will at least get you most codes for now. And leave you some time to figure out the VXdiag/Techstream setup issues. And for the VX diag, start first by making sure your computer recognizes the cable. After you get that confirmed, then start working on getting the hacked/pirated software going. There are some tutorials about the software floating around on other Toyota forums. And those forums may be able to help with the software setup. Are you using a 32 bit windows XP setup? That is often the easiest. Next level of difficulty may be with 64 bit setups. Running on virtual machine may be a level of difficulty above that. Depends on your comfort/abilities with fussing with those things on your own with no outside help. (Me, I'd need outside help and very clear step by step except with the simplest options.)
