With a $400 replacement cost, the Prius charging cord is not something you would ever want to lose. Few people people would ever have a use for one of these cables, but I can imagine some passing mischief-maker just taking it and tossing it somewhere. Aside from using your charging cord indoors or running it under a locked garage door, how do you protect your cord from theft? Do you ever try to charge away from home?

there is already a huge thread regarding this, with many ideas, if you want to search, but iirc, i think most take advantage of the small trigger lock, or a bicycle type cable lock, or they park on top of the cord.

The most "cost effective" way to secure the EVSE wand is roll the rear tire over the cable keeping a little slack.
I'm only presenting you this solution thanks to the experience of doing so.
