How does accelerator read driver age?

    Another one in Seattle this morning, an 86 year man drove his car into the bank ATM. The stories I see don't mention the brand, but one picture clearly shows the Toyota logo.

    I don't remember the age of the Lexus driver who went through the wall of a local parking garage back in February, but seem to remember it being in the 70-something range. But he claimed it was his error, not the car determining his age and taking action.
