In Canada we have a similar website for tracking maintenance, but only the dealerships can make entries.

I've never had a problem with a dealer performing warranty work, even though I've always done my own maintenance. And that includes VW. I just tell them if they want, I can bring in all my records. When they hear that, they usually tell me it's ok, they don't need to see them.

Or use Firefox they have a free app Firefox Flag that you can change the origin of your isp to any Country you want. I would imagine the USA is Continental. It lists a flag on the browser line so you know what country your in.

Flag also lists on the bottom of the page every link address the page loads when you go to it. Excellent way to detect virus or key logger.

Go to "what is my isp" and tell me what your first octet is. Just curious.

I don't think my ISP is the problem, I think it's my VIN. In Hawaii, our sole source of Toyota vehicles aren't through Toyota dealers but through another dealer network called Servco. I'm sure Toyota knows exactly which VIN numbers are sold through Servco in Hawaii.

Thanks everybody for the information. I'm still not sure whether keeping the log book (or similar) will in fact be sufficient for warranty purposes with Toyota, but when the time comes, that's exactly what I'll do and hope for the best. In the meantime, I decided to have the dealership do my maintenance. I might get tired of that after 1 or 2 more times, then will start doing my own.

I believe I read every response and nobody has experienced Toyota's response to a warranty repair when the owner did his/her own maintenance.

    Thanks again, everybody.

I overhead an interesting conversation at the dealership.
    Service manager says,
"ma'am we found evidence that you have not changed your oil in over 60 thousand miles, you need a new engine. It is not covered under warranty because you did not do the maintenance"
    Woman:
I did the maintenance, this is bull shit.
    SM:
we need proof that the maintenance was performed.
Woman leaves for 20 minutes and returns with an Office Depot receipt book with numerous hand written receipts that say "oil change - $20"
After a meeting with arbitration she got a free motor.
