It is (was) today... DH and I ended up NOT being able to go, as his job schedule has changed - makes our weekend too short for long trips.

So, we will just be doing our usual run to Olympia for food and water....

Running that far, you're going to need some water. ;)

We do our major shopping in Olympia, and not that long ago, we discovered that there is an artesian spring available to fill up water bottles. Remember Olympia beer, and "It's the water"? well, this is the water - much better than the beer was :p

In just a little bit, I'm going to post a blog posting with photos about the spring - I'll put a link here, if you like.

Is it just me or does the color of the water coming out of there look a little suspicious?

Reflection/refraction. The water is so pure and delicious, it's worth driving an hour for!

its definitely the picture and not the water.

the water is force filtered thru thousands of feet of sand and gravel. there is no pump causing the flow. its simply gravity fed rainwater from the surrounding Black Hills intercepted on its way to Puget Sound

Eg, the yellow-painted concrete barriers around it
