How FAST can you drive?

    You probably could but your instructor will laugh his nice person off when he sees what he has to ride in.

    You'll also have to constantly pull to the side to let faster cars by.

    During the speed test on the circuit I got 196 km/h on tach, really 186 by GPS measurement, no cargo load, 1 passenger. The tech. spec. max. speed is about 180, so I stopped the test. The car had just 2000 km in that time and I would not to hurt the ICE so much.

    Good thing - the Prius is a 5-passenger sedan, not a sport coupe. There's nothing more pathetic than seeing a minivan race away from a stoplight... ("Poor guy - he's having a midlife crisis and can't afford a little red sports car OR a mistress...")

    Is it really a surprise that average fuel economy is so low in the U.S.? Everyone wants to do 0-60 under 6 seconds - in a vehicle that can carry their entire family (plus luggage)...
