just wondering about how fast everyone goes in their Prius? It seems like I’m the only person who travels the speed of traffic:D No hypermiling for me;)

speed limit for me, or slower, if traffic allows. sit low and drive slow, with your eventual turn blinker on.

I go between the limit and 5 mph over.

It’s good enough and keeps the car in good shape (consume less oil that way ;)).

    I even pass some cars(y).

I generally go the speed of traffic (110 km/h or 68 mph) in an 80 zone. Well, that’s on a highway that has an absurdly low speed limit (Pat bay highway in Victoria) some people go 140 km/h (88 mph)

Freeway speeds around these parts is 65 mph ;).

That’s without traffic though, which is rare when I am going to work :(.

But nice when you go counter commute (y).

If I go 61 MPH in a 55 zone, then I pass as many vehicles as pass me.

On the freeway, I am doing 2 over in the right lane, with the semis.

I am trying to do the limit in town.

Speed limit here. Around town the traffic signals are pretty well coordinated for the speed limits. On the highway I prefer getting to my destination nice and relaxed instead of having worn out nerves from looking out for law enforcement. On our longer trips I'm the guy in the red car with out of state plates.

We did a trip to Washington and outside of Seattle in our red Prius with California plates we got a lot of honking and “your number one” signs:eek:.

Always nice to know where you stand .

I'm usually 5 to 10 over. My 10 is so easy to speed in I probably would have more tickets if it wasn't for my wife's eagle eye!

Yeah, I stick to speed limits in the city, however the police on the highway generally have other things to do then pulling you over for speeding. Also there aren’t many places where they can be without people noticing or being unsafe.

I haven't really had my new Gen 4 on the highway much but my old 2008 I ran the speed limit or a little over on trips. I don't take the interstate if I can help it and only live three miles from the Indiana Toll Road and haven't traveled it for 20 years. Around town I look out for Barney Fife, only had one ticket and it was from Barney.
