We traded in our 2004 Sienna on a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL. The Santa Fe had every safety feature available for an automobile and fit our needs - It cost $995 more than we paid for the Sienna in 2004.

For us it was a best value for the dollar decision more than who made the vehicle.

I would not buy any engine that has solely GDI or gasoline direct injection. They all eventually have carbon fouling problems.

Their dual clutch transmissions are atrocious.

 

Yeah, according to The Car Care Nut, their hybrids are not ready for prime time.

in other words NO manufacture's fans are exempt from needing to get off their high horse. Loved our Toyotas, Hondas fords chevys Nissans over 4 decades .... & yet some of them? Wishing some of their peeps could be keel hauled.

Still can't convince me with all of these salesman media types and their motto, "sell the sizzle, not the steak" mentality that works with insecure low self image individuals that live from paycheck to paycheck beyond their means.

Most all of these judge cars by how they look and drive and seldom on there long term reliability and complete lifetime cost.

That's why most individuals are more concerned with how much monthly payments are and not the cost of the car over its lifespan.

Hyundais and Kias put more effort in looks and image than Toyotas.
