My wife is 8 months pregnant. If I hadn't stopped and picked up a pizza after the long day at the dealer, she may have eaten some of my fingers before I got home.

We don't have a Gen III, but I remember how it was with our new Rudy :p

It was within the month, I think... if you don't count Starbucks... that was a little sooner (and I use the fabric cleaner from 303 Aerospace - works great!)

OH NO . . . a one gallon wine jug, 3/4ths empty layed over on its side coming home from a dinner party last night and the metal cap leaked!!! Thank god for the all-weather floor mats as the right rear mat caught the several tea spoons of leakage which cleaned up nicely with a damp paper towel. Definately need to carry such items in a cardboard box from now on.

Even the std cargo mat is great for saving small spills. I had an apple juice gallon plastic container crack on the way home from Sam's Club in my 2004 - the spill was contained to the mat. I simply pulled it out, hosed it off (thick piles require a strong stream though), and let it dry.

I'm not sure if you mean carrying food in the car or eating in the car.

I've no problem with carrying prepared food in the car - it goes in the cargo area packaged very well.

I eat and drive in old junkers, but $30k+ cars? No. Way.

My son is the messiest kid on the planet. I am getting seat covers for the back seat and plastic film (like they use on carpet when painting ) to go under the seat covers and the floor. It took me forever to clean the back of my '95 Impala SS I traded in.
