You're wrong, Jay. I happen to know pins exist.

As many as you want to believe there are.

Are angels subatomic? Can you prove they aren't?

When I was a kid I was determined to somehow construct a sewing needle millions of times larger than the average needle. Through the eye of this oversized needle I would fit a camel putting that myth to rest once and for all.

So I feel that the question of how many angels can dance on the head of a pin really depends on the size of the pin. It's not just a philosophical question, it's a poorly ambiguous one at that.

How Many? One more than can dance on the point of a pin (there's always room for one more).

I'm not trying to prove anything. I just want to know. How many? I want a number. No evading the question by asking how big the pin is. It shouldn't matter to angels. So far, only Jayman has given a number, but he doesn't count because he doesn't believe in angels. If you believe in angels you know how big they are, and how big are the pinheads they dance on, and if you don't believe in angels you have no business answering the question. Actually I'm disappointed that nobody who believes in angels has posted in this thread yet. Come on Kow, BigJay, Windstrings, step up and give me a number. Seven? Three hundred and eighty four? A million and thirty one? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

I didn't ask how large the pin is, I asked how large the angels are. I can always measure a pin to find out how large it is.

What is the packing factor for a collection of angels? Are they body centered cubic, or close packed hexagonal?

Judging by the size of "Earl" on the show, "Saving Grace", I'd say just one.

Didn't Thomas Aquinas twitter about this in the middle ages? Check his blog too - it might be there.

Spherically diaphanous, I think, which makes the problem several orders of magnitude more difficult. But I'm strongly agnostic in this matter, so maybe I'm not qualified to say.

And I replied that if you believe in angels you should know how big they are, and if you don't believe in them you are not qualified to answer the question. So it's a moot point. I'd answer the question myself if I believed in angels. But I don't. So I need a believer to tell me.

It used to be 22. Angels, like most everyone else, have become fatter. Now you are lucky to get 18 on one pin.

No, those are the ones that don't fit.

None. Angels don't exists. And if they ever did exist they were eaten by sharks.
