How much is 1 gal of gas in your area.

I commute to a consulting job site near Atlanta each week, from SC - so I see gas stations in SC, NC, and GA. The stations around here (Duluth, GA) and around Charlotte in NC seem to be about the same - between $3.91 and $3.99 for regular. The SC stations (just across the border from Charlotte) seem to be holding around $3.81 to $3.85.

Away from the cities near Greenville, SC, there are stations that are still $3.73.

here in western massachusetts regular/87 has been over $4.00 for a couple weeks now. When I saw a gas station selling at $4.02 today I was bummed that I just filled up elsewhere at $4.09 yesterday. That type of reaction always that tells me the price is still generally creeping up.

 

$4.59 San Diego....ouch! I'm 17, had a lifted wrangler achieving a whopping 11 mpg, traded it in for a PRI!! lovin it, had it for 3 months, and have put 4,500 miles on it already. its great

 

Today I filled up at our local Sainsburys petrol station in Bristol, UK.

I put 42.41 litres in. I make that 11.2 US gallons.

Total cost? £49.15, or just a little over $98!

So that's...

$8.75 a gallon...
*faints on the floor. I want my EV back! *Cries* *

 

How about a bicycle? There are plenty of enclosed designs around that would be quite similar to your "Flying Banana". Except you have to pedal. But hey, no gas bills, and you can skip the gym membership.

And thanks for reminding all us whiners that we're only paying about half what gas costs in Europe.

 

Tesco's cheaper.

That makes 1.159 £ per litre, or 1.425 € = we are at 1.52 (£1.23), but at my supermarket I can still find it at 1.45

 

Cheapest I've seen is $4.59 in the San Gabriel Valley / LA Metro area in California.

 

3.78 for 89 Octane paid today

 

A Shell station in Highland (Inland Empire) California had regular listed at 4.599 a gallon at 7:30pm.

 

Watkins Glen, New York yesterday was $4.23 for regular.

 

Filled up Saturday nite @ $3.78 for 87 octane.

 

Jumped to 4.13 from 4.07, yesterday!

 

Gas is getting cheap - some of the stations (Arco) are down to $4.37 / gal. I think Malorn was onto something. Only $1.87 to go. :madgrin:

 

In Attleboro MA, the lowest is $3.99 ...

 

Corner Arco was $4.49 yesterday.

 

Hit the gas station at lunchtime (for air only!) and it was up to $4.19. Missouri has one of the lower gas taxes around too.

 

Price has dropped at the local Chevron, from $4.65 to $4.61. Other grades dropped $0.04/gal as well.

 

I filled up last night at paid $4.479 for regular unleaded. Every station I saw this morning was over $4.50 for unleaded. I live in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles.
