Yeah, that's good. Did it come with any other options like floormats?

Yes, floormats too. Just the carpet ones, not the all weather.

I purchased a 2010 Prius, Package III with Navigation and carpeted floor mats this weekend from John Williams at Tansky Sawmill Toyota here in Columbus, OH. I paid $25,700, which I felt was fair as other dealers in the area were still trying to get over $26,000 for the same setup (and none had the color combo that I wanted). Overall a great experience, much better than the hard sell and arduous process of "we're trying to find the color combo you want at another dealer, just wait a few more days" that I had received from another local dealer.

Purchased my Prius III/w Nav BP for $1000+ under MSRP. It came with Port Addon which kind of skewed up the price but the discount was there nevertheless. This is on a vehicle after the Toyota price adjustment from a SoCal Dealer.

    2010 3rd Generation Prius Sale!

    2010 3rd Generation Prius Sale!

    Dear Neal,

You are invited to a silent sale on the 2010 Prius at Earl Stewart Toyota. For the remainder of November 2009, all of our new, in-stock 2010 Prius will be sold at dealer invoice. And, as always at Earl Stewart Toyota, no Dealer Fees. Please note that dealer invoice is not our dead cost. We're still making a profit. Please see below for more details.

This is a legitimate sale. A legitimate sale must have a legitimate reason. We are looking to close our year strong by clearing out our new Prius inventory. This will help us earn more Prius. The number of cars of each model that Toyota allocates to a dealer is based on how fast they sell their inventory. By having this sale, we will earn more Prius going in to the New Year. We will benefit by having a larger inventory of cars that are normally sold at MSRP. This is the strategy that has made us the largest seller of Prius in the Southeast United States.

Here is a current list of our new Prius inventory with MSRP and sale price listed. Again, these prices are plus tax and tag only - no dealer fees or phony markups. These cars are physically here. We have more Prius in our incoming inventory that will also qualify for the sale. Please call us ASAP at (561) 844-3461 to check on availability. We do not expect this inventory to last long.

There is still profit behind “dealer invoice.” We’re still making about $500 when selling a Prius at invoice as opposed to an average of approximately $1700 at MSRP. For an even further explanation about dealer invoice vs true dealer cost. Please click on Earl's Blog and read the item entitled, "Holdback or Holdup?"

    Thanks,

Prius II, with a few options, MSRP of 23,604 including delivery.
Actual price 500 off MSRP plus 129 document fee for "out the door" price of 23,223.

Note: This is a pre-MSRP increase car, with a couple hundred miles on it.
Also note this is in GST region, and things about pricing here don't always follow national trends.

MSRP was $23950 (only extra was $200 floor mats) and I paid $22150. Got a 3.74% rate through the dealer and was very happy with the whole experience (unlike another dopey Toyota dealer I dealt with before). If you are flexible with what they have in stock, now until the end of the year is the best time to buy. Good luck! Herb Chambers dealership in Boston

City Toyota in Daly City, CA. No pressure sales. I just asked him what his best price was. I have yet to buy it though as I am still in the process of selling my 2007.

I am considering a 2010 Prius III base. I have been working with dealers to buy back my leased 2009 Honda Civic LX and the buyout is $15,700.

I received offers from $13,500 to the best price of $15,100 which would be considered a trade and I would pay difference. I was quoted a monthly payment of $372 for 75 months at 6.5% interest.

Is this a fair deal considering I will be driving approx 40K miiles per year so a leased vehicle would not work for me.

    Thx,

    Bob

I just bought a 2010 Prius IV for $25,169 plus dealer cost ($595) plus tax. I got the price through the USAA Car Buying Assistant. It was by far the cheapest quote I got. Does that sound pretty good?

    Bob,
Hope this isn't too late to be useful. I can't answer your question, but can suggest a method:
First, find out invoice as well as MSRP pricing for the car you want.
Then go through this thread, as well as a couple in the Main Forum and see what others have paid for the vehicle. See what advisors like Consumer Reports, cars.com, truecar.com, suggest as target prices.
Do this w/o reference to your trade.

Then, research trade in values for your old car, through thinkgs like the Blue Book. You already have done some of this, by your buy-back inquiries.

You decide whether the deal is good based on whether the net price you pay for the Prius is where you think you can get it based on the research you've done.

Many months ago I had written we were going for a base III. So after many months of deliberating and waiting to see that I wouldn't get dropped from my job my wife and I decided to up it from the base III in Winter Grey to the III with Solar/Nav pkg with mats. Not to keen on how Toyota now makes you get everything as a bundle but the price was right. All in all 26364 and no sales tax in CT for hybrids. Now comes the wait, hopefully by next week and of course pics.

Picked up a Prius V w/ATP, mats & accent stripe out of inventory on 1/22/10.

MSRP $34,432.00. Paid $31850.00 OTD plus tax & tags.

    Easy transaction, no pressure at:
Toyota of Greer, Greer, SC. Great place to shop & was worth the two hour drive to save $2582.00.
