'Sokay +af...if it'd'a been North Carolina, she'd get off 'cause she'd just say she was looking for her cigarettes and no jury in the state would go after her... [IMG]

She was in the driver's seat. There is no way they could have switched seats at the speed she was going. Both airbags were deployed, car completely crushed, too many witnesses right there.

My girlfriend was at work in the bar right across the street from where the Prius crashed into the parked car. This was after she hit the two New Yorkers a block down. We all ran out to see what happened and some guy is running down the street after the car screaming. Opens the driver's door and yells at the woman. I see inside the car, a woman in the driver's seat, a man in the passenger's seat.

This all happened two blocks from my apartment...the neighborhood where all my friends either live or hangout (including the house where the car scraped by).

The latest I know is the female victim is out of the coma and responsive. I believe the male victim was released from the hospital already. I think the DA is waiting on more info before charges can be filed...I don't know for sure.

    Lex2000 -

Welcome to PriusChat, thanks for the update. Nice to see another Portland local on here, although it would have been better under other circumstances I'm sure.

That lady in the Prius could have been blaming the in-car GPS showing her to drive on this way for shortest route, while she's talking on the phone with her BlueTooth-enabled headset.....
