I'm with jgills240... wow!! Some serious inventories in this thread!
    38 yr old:

    a. (Dad's) 1974 Toyota Celica 3-speed coupe, with 170K miles at the time, loaned as my get-to-work/school car, high school & early college. Great little car, even if you had to have a tailwind downhill to break 80mph. Probably wise, he didn't loan me the Olds coupe, which really flew, or the 68 Mustang convertible... Then again, I did total the Olds later in a very silly/preventable Christmas Day accident. :(
    1. My first purchase: '86 Honda Civic hatchback (bought used in '88, kept 10 years.) Still miss that car to this day, and the $161/mo car payment that went with it... followed by 6 years of no payment!
    2. Leased: 1998 Honda Civic sedan
    3. Leased: 2003 Honda Accord 6-cyl coupe
    4. Bought: 2007 Prius, Classic Silver, Pack. #2, June 14, 2007. MFD lifetime average 50.1 (granted only 9 days on the car!)

Wow, I need to think about this one. I hope i get it right..

    34 years crazy!!

    1) 1976 Chevy monte carlo-junk yard
    2) 1986 Ford Mustang GT-traded it in for..
    3) 1989 Pontiac Trans Am GTA-had to sell it.. too many tickets
    4) 1991(i think) Ford Escort GT(mazda made)-3 transmissions later.. gone
    5) 1981 Toyota Celica-bought for $200.. sold for $200
    6) 1976 Olds Cutlass-Baby blue with WHITE vinyl interior.. :)) -junk yard

    9) 1989 Chevy G20 work van-dad gave it to me when he left for Vegas. Luckily for me, soon afterwards, I quit my "corporate" job and started doing handyman type stuff for cash. Which turned into the business I curently have.. which is very good thank you very much :) Thanks dad!!
    10) 1985 Cadilac Fleetwood-aka "sofa" aka "couch on wheels" aka "pimp daddy mobile"-sold it to a 16 year old future pimp :)))
    11) 1999 Mercedes ML320-It felt so good to be able to buy a vehicle like this-Just put a "for sale" sign on it. Anybody?
    12) 2003 Chevy 3500 work van to replace the old G20-still running strong at 11.5 mpg!! LOL
    13) 2006 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double cab fully loaded-Currently for sale..

1st: 1964 Chevy Corvair -- 900 Monza coupe ***muy especial***
    then in approximate order...
1969 Ford econoline van -- favorite target of police everywhere
    1970 Datsun 210 wagon -- soulless reliablility
1972 Ford Ranchero CalSpcl 351 Cleaveland, 4 brl, hoodscoop etc -- obscene HP, "the Beast"
1969 Datsun pickup -- stupidly loyal
    1970 Mercedes 280C -- "Beauty"
1984 Nissan 4x4 pickup. No redeeming features
1982 Ford Bronco 460-something cu in engine
1985 Mercedes 300TD wagon "Super Beauty"
    1965 Porsche 912 -- a haiku on wheels
1991 Toyota Camry (now my middle daughter's)
1987 Honda quaalude xx 2.0 -- self destruct button
1985 Toyota doublecab pickup -- indefatigable, now hunting pigs in the ureweras
1998 Jeep Cherokee (pulls the horse trailer)
    2004 Prius

also currently running a 1940s Massey-Ferguson tractor and a 199? Yamaha quad bike on the farm.
Didn't bother to count all the motorcycles (Hondas, Yamahas, Penton, Husky, CanAm,etc).

I'm pretty sure there's no life lesson in here anywhere

    6. Oldmobile Delta 88 -- diesel engine
    7. Cadillac Sedan DeVille (Stolen in CA.) :(
    8. 96 Pontiac Grand Am -- Good, comfortable car :) -- didn't complain about 22 -> 26 mpg city/highway until Parent's '06 Town & Country (LARGE SUV) was showing 24 mpg at 75 mph! :blink:

    1. 1979(?) Ford Pinto hatchback (with rear louvers) Got a great deal as it was after the redesign but they just couldn't get over the bad publicity.

    2. 1984 Nissan 200sx hatchback( with rear louvers) Had it 11 years. Was rear ended and the ins. totaled it.

    3. 1996 Saturn SC2 Coupe. Worst designed trunk in the world. After this car I vowed to go back to hatchbacks. Had it 9 years.

    4. Prius 2005. Ah, the joys of a hatchback. Now if I could only get some rear louvers.

I also owned a 1960 Cadillac Sedan de Ville four door hardtop for about 3 years as a second car. Only drove it on the occasional weekend. It was a great car but probably got about 3 miles to the gallon. I think a family of four could live under the hood there was so much room in there compared to modern cars, especially the Prius.

That makes 5; 4 daily drivers and one for occasional recreation. BTW I bought the Caddy for $1500 and sold it for $3,000. I replaced the battery, spark plugs and wires, had the carborator cleaned and tuned and timing. Ran really great for the time I had it. I'd still have it now except I needed my garage back; parking on the street sucks.

The Prius is really the first car I chose because it was the first time I bought a new car.

No clue on the years but:

1st: Chevy Chevette. Drove it til the floor rusted out.
2nd: Toyota Celica. Two-toned blue and grey, loved that car.
    3rd: Toyota Corolla
    4th: Toyota Cressida
    5th: Toyota Camry
    and 6th - my Pri.

    ETA: I'm 42.

    1. Prius... and it's only because I haven't been able to find an EV that fits my budget and my needs... YET. I'm really hoping that my next will be EV.

I like seeing the lists that are a bunch of big-a$$ trucks and then a Prius at the bottom! Well done, guys :D
