This tragic accident occured in Barcelona, SP recently. The Tesla driver, hit in the driver's door, got out under his own power and walked away. The driver of the other car was unfortunately DOA.

    Ouch, that really hurt.
Looked more like a offset frontal collision with a secondary collision to the door as the car pivoted.
Still nasty, and exactly why the offset collision test is so valuable.

The drifting car's airbags fired in the first collision, so were no long available in the second and much more serious collision.

I'm wondering if that driver died in the second crash, or was already suffering a medical event before the first.

It appears to me to be a DUI. If you watch the car approach from the beginning of the video, he is weaving in his lane. Not a good sign.

Could be DUI, could have also been a medical issue, or it could have been someone texting and driving.
In any case, I am sorry someone loss their life, and happy to see the car they hit protected the driver so well.
