How to Disable Autolock?

I have a recurring problem with my 2008 - doors will lock automatically regardless of whether or not the fob is in the vehicle. I replaced the 12v battery earlier this year, and I believe that is when the problem began. I replaced the battery in the keys last week thinking that was the issue. Didn't fix it as I just got locked out of the car again.
Doesnt matter if I unlock via the passenger side or the driver's side, same results. I know that the door will re-lock if it isnt opened after 30 or 60 seconds but I thought that if you open the door, that timer was disabled. Apparently, it takes more than just an open door to disable the timer.
So, is there any way to disable this autolock feature entirely?
