How to make Prius more comfortable?

The two front seats have side airbags. I just noticed yesterday, when looking closely at the side "bolsters" there appears to be a zipper or something. I guess that's how the airbag deploys.

And the diagram also shows a "seat airbag" on the passenger seat. Not quite sure how that works.

So I'm wondering if these leather seat covers that people are buying, do they have a slit so the airbags can deploy?

Mine is pretty flat and hard. Toyota couldn't add 10 cents of padding?! I've seen some padded covers on Amazon that attach with Velcro straps or something. But there's no way to feed the straps around the lid.

I just put a folded towel on top of mine. (cheap guy)
