Isnt window tinting available from the manufacturer? How come everyone seems to have an opinion that they rather tint it themselves that get the option already installed when they buy the car?

I took the hubcaps off and installed the small Toyota center cap. They are still not the best looking rims on the planet but they will get us by until I wear out the tires and go to a 16 inch set of chrome rims and new tires.

A good looking ride starts with the wheels.

I also added a magnetic strip, looks bolted on, that says Supercharged right next to the word Hybrid just ahead of the drivers side door. It looks really cool. I am enjoying my Supercharged Hybrid at the moment.

It is apparently available as an add-on at port. Dealers often will do the add-on themsleves with a local tint place as well.

I'm guessing next will be a 6" exhaust tip, a wing, SS stipes and a Hemi sticker along with a shaker hood. May as well add wheelie bars too.

I have a Mercedes SLK and it says Kompressor just in front of the driver's side door. Everyone was always asking me what a Kompressor was so I bought a very professional magnetic chrome piece that says SUPERCHARGED. With that under the word Kompressor, I no longer get people asking me what a Kompressor is. Many drivers think we are just a bunch of tree huggers trying to save a little gasoline. Some drivers can't figure out all the facination over the Prius. So, to add a little humor, I placed that Supercharged chrome piece right next to Hybrid. So now they will think that Toyota is making their gas sippers go fast. I am having a lot of fun showing that off. A Supercharged Prius, what will they think of next?

Someone asked how old I am. I'm 63, retired, and own four cars and an airplane. I'm a Baby Boomer just having fun!

Optimum no rinse. rain x spray, and rain x washer fluid additive. Then get some of this stuff I ordered on autogeek.com it's called DP flex plastic cleaner or something like that. THAT is great on tinted windows. (Given you tinted your windows.) Then get meguiars leather conditioning wipes or something. I also kind of prefer "Nu Finish" was. John1701a recommended it on his site years ago, and it seems to be the easiest with the best results.

I hear ya. My suggestion isn't gaining any traction, but I think the Gen2 touring wheel/tire would complement the Gen3 nicely.

Again, 195/55-16 tire and rim option for Prius III and IV, please.

The hypermilers won't like the above as it will take away 1 - 2 MPGs.

That is why I would go with the 16 inch rims. You don't have to give up as much fuel economy at the 17 inch rims.

I did add a First Aid kit and some emergency detailing microfiber towels along with a tire repair kit. I like having lots of options.

As you will know, a Kompressor/supercharger/blower is driven by the engine itself to get more air in the combustion chambers, thus getting more horsepower. A turbocharger does the same, but is driven by the exhaust gasses of the engine. In fact it is using left over energy. Small European engines use one or two turbochargers to get high power and high efficiency (mpg). Maybe the Prius could even have more mpg with a turbocharger, but that would be expensive.

If I could legally tint my front windows in New Jersey I would do the entire car, but since I can't I may not even tint the rears

I may do the door sills eventually
