So after owning my 2012 for 2 days I've pretty much got the stereo all figured out. (usb ftw) Now i'm trying to figure out how to use the hvac controls.

    Is auto the best setting?

If i set the temp to 20c/68f will the car just keep that temp year round?

I like it better with auto off. Auto will reduce the fan speed to almost zero after temp setpoint is reached. Even with auto off the temp will regulate to setpoint as needed automatically.

It's all personal preference, but I leave mine in Auto year-round and just adjust the temperature as necessary. No muss, no fuss...

Just wondering.... Did this car came with an Owner's Manual?

Yes. I read the online manual.

But like to hear what other peoples experiences are.

Okay. Sure didn't come across that way...

I leave it in AUTO in a range of 68 (winter) to 75 (summer), with drive mode set to ECON, tire presures 40-41 psi front, 39-40 psi rear. Driving normally, no hyper-stuff, get 43 mpg indicated.

Didn't switch to winter skins this past season; never threatened much snow, except the one quickie blizzard.
