<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(LowCO2 @ Jul 20 2006, 05:00 PM) </div> I like that one! Reminds me of the black Hummer I spotted on a hot summer day, taking up two parking spots, and running the air conditioner with no one inside the vehicle. It should have had a bumper sticker that reads "Who can I crap on today, to get my way?" Also: SPEWS CO2 SUCKN GAS BIG EGO R O GANT
OUTFIT as in, i really do need the hummer... it was the last vehicle i actually fit into... and now it's the only piece of clothing i have left... h34r: (inspiration came from a short story by a writer friend of mine)
So that everyone here may know. I am a 30 year old guy who works on environmental erosion control ponds regularly and makes sure to recycle everything in my path. I do however drive a Hummer H1. My plates say 12MPG and I love the fact that I piss so many people off. It always amazes me that people just let their imaginations run wild thinking of how bad I must be because I drive a Hummer H1 and because of what the plate says. Next to my plate is a sticker that reads. I love my carbon footprint. I love the fact that people are driving hybrids. Good for them. I too have a more fuel efficient car, but keep the Hummer for my Ski outtings. I search for Powder everywhere possible as I also am the owner of a somewhat notable twin tip snow ski manufacturer. All of my skis are made of Bamboo. Go figure. Here is a guy who makes skis from sustainable materials yet drives a hummer. I love to prove people wrong and be the guy who breaks the mold. While I realize that much can be said for the Hummer owners and their penis envy and their arrogance. I am sure the same could be said regarding many Prius and hybrid owners. I just don't like pointing the fingers at people I have no personal information about. Therefore I refrain. I would suggest the same from people who would like to get their points across. You may get further with honey instead of piss and vinegar. Just a thought about being a decent person. Not a sermon!
Dude, you are everything that is wrong with the "green" movement today... Do 2 or 3 little "good" things, and that justifies any/all of the bad things you do. "Indulgence" in the classic sense of the word. (don't feel bad though - many Prius drivers demonstrate much of the same arrogance you describe)
Hummer ideas... WOW... you'll last a long time in here Bra... Personally, I think you should get thicker skin, and come up with another plate other than what you're driving... OH, and don't give a sermon. Oh, teh OP... Suggestions: XTENX XTRA4X4 GASDUMP
Just like the people who have whatever kind of hybrid and like to put a million stickers on their car bragging about their mileage: NOBODY REALLY CARES. Don't take this personally, but if people are angry with you it's because the H1 accelerates/gets out of the way slower than a Prius (16 seconds 0-60, seriously? Hummer H1 Review - Edmunds.com) and takes up like 2 parking spaces, and they just want you to get out of the way/go away. Do whatever you want, but please: stay in the right lane. EDIT: I almost forgot.
I take my Prius with snowboards every time. I have no need or in illusion that I need a gas guzzler to do other stuffs. There are road everywhere designed for cars to get by.
