Bugga, so the space lasers don't make it rain then o_O Are they heating the oceans with them then .... no can't be, that's just a myth ....... not the space lasers, but that the oceans are getting warmer ;)
At least with this non warming, the rain shouldn't be as heavy or the storms hanging around as long, the next time our road disappears because the river flooded, even though it didn't rain in our state, I'll tell the water it shouldn't be there, it is a figment of my imagination and to either disappear or go back to where it belongs ...... but I guess that is what's trying to do, get back to the ocean where it came from, just off the coast in another part of the country a few thousand kms away.....

The mate will be pleased to know that the house he built well above the highest recorded flood level, that the insurance now refuse to cover because it has had water running across the floor 3 yrs in a row now, won't flood again, because all the water is a hoax .....

He may have said it, or he may be trying to walk back his mistake. In any case, I believe there is more hysteria than scientific acumen being applied to this issue.

I suppose that's the beauty of leaving out any links like the one in #56. Leaves the air free to fill with unbounded speculation.

I'm not making unfounded speculation. I see hysteria where there should be serious consideration.
Some of us don't think you need to lie for a good cause.

Notice the word I used was 'unbounded', not 'unfounded', and in the portion of your post that I quoted, what you were speculating about was whether "He may have said it, or he may be trying to walk back his mistake" ('he' being Al Gore).

So in your post #65 you have changed a word I wrote to a different word, and also shifted what the post was about.

The point was, a quick look at this link

    https://www.reuters.com/article/fact-check/al-gore-did-not-predict-ice-caps-melting-by-2013-but-misrepresented-data-idUSL1N2RV0K6/

puts some actual bounds on what we can speculate about what Gore did or didn't say, and to what extent it was or wasn't accurate, and what he may or may not have tried to walk back. It's a story that's already been reported, so we aren't left having to make the whole story up for ourselves on PriusChat in 2025.

Within those bounds, different speculations might still be possible. So that's the difference between bounded and unbounded speculation.

I don't have time for nitpicking.
    Back on ignore.
