    So my 2012 Prius III has 240k and 60k on a JDM engine that I installed last year.

    The hybrid battery had been giving me problems for the past 5 months. I cleaned up all bus bars and harness but only worked for a couple months. I had replaced the 12v battery 4 months ago with a new Duracell batter.

    At this point the car will only charge up to 2bars and feels some what slugish. With 240k I think its time to purchase a reconditioned battery. Does anyone recommend a certain company? Or has had any good experience with other options other than swapping Modules?

    These are the ones I've been seeing;
    Dorman 587-007. $1,900.
    Green Bean $1649.
    Electron Hybrid solutions $1,738.
    Toyota dealership. $2,500.
    Green tec auto $950.

    If I had put in a newer engine, I would go with new battery too...

    I just installed a Greentec with new cells in my wife's 2012 Prius V yesterday. Nice folks to work with, and the job was easier than I expected. For the one with new cells it's $1750 plus $500 core charge. You'll be charged $150 to return the core via FedEx, so $1900 all in. 48 month warranty, and the company has been around for awhile.

    The $950 unit is "reconditioned" ...
