    Hi Everyone,

I am new to the Prius. I just purchased a 2007 Prius with 108k miles. I am not worried about the battery, but I am curious if this falls under the 10 year/150,000 mile warranty.

If (knock on wood) something goes bad, do I just go to a toyota dealer? I bought the car used private party

    thanks

If the Prius is registered in a CARB state, purchased in a CARB state and and has ben continuously registered you have a 10 year , 150,000 warranty on the hybrid battery. I stopped into my local Toyota dealer and had the service writer run the vin number to verify warranties in effect.

Also, my 2007 has cloth seats, but a sunroof and rear cam. Can someone confirm what package this is?

no sunroof, must be aftermarket. not sure if the backup cam was standard or higher package.

and yes, if your battery fails, just go to a toyota dealer.

No I do not think it there is a tool for owners to self-check. Seems only recently the dealers may have a tool to check. Prior to that I think they made a call to Toyota for a ruling.

Good idea to have dealer check. FYI Toyota told me continuous CARB registration is not a requirement. Just orig purchase must be CARB, and where the car is registered at time of repair must be CARB...for what it's worth, I tried to clarify some of these warranty fine points, and that was the one thing they were willing to share with me.

For 2007 SKS & the backup camera were standard. Presuming a non-Touring:
Package 1 does not have VSC
    Package 2 adds VSC
Package 3 adds auto dimming mirror & 6 CD changer
Package 4 adds fog lights & HID headlights
    Package 5 adds nav
    Package 6 adds leather

Since you already bought the car and you "are not worried about the battery", there's nothing to be worried about :). It's not like you haven't bought the car yet.
